The Steel WallThis is a featured page

The Steel Wall
Pride and fear create a false facade,
With an exterior made cold and hard
A missing piece felt deep inside,
And a burning hole that I cannot hide,
Feelings that just will not quell,
Hiding beneath this hardened shell.
Unwilling to penetrate the steel wall,
Petrified of the shattering fall.
Rejection is a hard pill to swallow,
And more disappointment might follow.
