Facade

Hiding in the shadows

And peering though the cracks,

Observing from a distance

And longing to the max.

Rays of light beckon to me

But restrictions do apply,

As these chains tighten further

All I can do is to try.

Envious of the unravelled

As I battle to break free,

Repeatedly falling downwards

Controlled by destiny,

Disagreeing with the verdict

Objecting to my case,

Why do others only see…
